One of the many blessings bestowed by Allah Almighty is His Glorious Word, the Holy Qur’an. Which he not only revealed to his last prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) for the guidance of his servants, but also preserved it until the Day of Judgment with his grace and grace.
It is necessary for us to read the Holy Quran correctly with Tajweed to thank our Lord for this great blessing. And think about the meaning of the Holy Quran and live your life according to the rules of the
Quran
IMPORTANCE OF TAJWEED IN QURAN
What else can be more the virtue of tajweed?
Allah has clearly said about it in the Qur’an. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an:
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ يَتْلُونَهُۥ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ (سورةالبقره:١٢١)
Those We have given the Book follow it as it should be followed. It is they who ˹truly˺ believe in it. As for those who reject it, it is they who are the losers.(Surah-Al-Baqrah:121)
In another place in the Holy Quran, Allah says:
وَقُرْآنًا فَرَقْنَاهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَاهُ تَنزِيلًا (سورة الاسراء:١٠٦)
It is a Quran We have revealed in stages so that you may recite it to people at a deliberate pace. And We have sent it down in successive revelations.(Surah-Isra:106)
IMPORTANCE OF TAJWEED FROM THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH) AND HIS COMPANIONS
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
إِن الله تعالٰى يُحب أن يُقْرَأَ القرآن كما أُنْزِلَ
Allah Almighty likes to recite the Qur’an in the way it was revealed.
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said: That whoever does not recite the Holy Quran in a good voice is not one of us.
It is established on the authority of Musa bin Yazid al-Kindi said: Abdullah Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) was teaching a man how to recite, the man recited:
إِنَّمَا ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتُ لِلۡفُقَرَاءِ وَٱلۡمَسَـٰكِینِ
recited without “Madd”. So Abdullah bin Masud said: This is not how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah upon him) taught me to recite. The man said: ‘How did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah upon him) teach you to recite it?
He said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah upon him) taught me to recite it like this:
إِنَّمَا ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتُ لِلۡفُقَرَاۤءِ وَٱلۡمَسَـٰكِینِ
And he recited with “Madd”.
IMPORTANCE OF TAJWEED FROM SCHOLARS
Imam Shams-Ud-Din Ibn al-Jazri writes in his book Muqaddimah Al Jazariyyah
the application of Tajweed is indeed necessary. who ever does not rectify (his recitation of) the Quran is a sinner. because with tajweed the Allah Almighty has revealed the Quran. And in this manner from him it has reached us.
Shaykh Ali bin Sabra says that it is forbidden to leave Tajweed, and it is obligatory to learn it, because it is tawfiqi and there is no room for decrease in it.
And whoever does not recite the Qur’an in the manner in which it was revealed by Allah. So he will oppose Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and it is obvious that he who opposed them is a sinner.
This also made it clear that reciting the Qur’an with Tajweed is needful upon every reciting man and woman. The reciter on which the rules of the Sharia are obligatory, when he recites it with Tajweed, he will be entitled to reward and reward, and if he abandons it, he will be a sinner.
Because the Holy Qur’an was revealed to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with Tajweed. And so it has reached to us with Consecutiveness tajweed.
WHY IS TAJWEED IMPORTANT?
Scholars have written about Tajweed that learning Tajweed is needful. Because if the knowledge of tajweed is not learned, then the pronunciation of the letters will be wrong, due to which the meaning will change. and sometimes the meaning will change so much that it will be completely reversed. and sometimes it will become completely blasphemous meaning.
SOME BIG MISTAKES
1. Reading الهمد instead of الحمد in الحمدلله رب العلمىن gives a bad meaning instead of praising Allah.
2. In انعمت the meaning changes by reading تا with zer or pesh instead of zabar.
3. Reciting laam in Surah Kaafrun in لااعبد quickly (Mu’adhullah) the meaning will be regarded as disbelief and the person who recite will be sinner.
4. Reading “سين” instead of “صاد” in نصرالله in Surah Nasr makes the whole meaning wrong. نصر means help and نسر means vulture.
From all these things, it is known that every Muslim must read the Qur’an with Tajweed.
