One of the nights of Ramadan is called Lailatul Qadr. Which is a very blessed night. In the Holy Qur’an, it has been declared better than a thousand months. A thousand months are 83 years and 4 months.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) saw that the ages of the first nations were very long. And the age of the Ummah of Rasool Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is very short. If they wants to equal them in good deed, then it is not possible.
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was saddened by this. In compensation for this, Allah Almighty gave this night. There is a Hadith that the Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned 4 people from Bani Israel.
Hazrat Ayub (Peace be upon him), Hazrat Zakariya (Peace be upon him), Hazrat Hazqil (Peace be upon him), Hazrat Yusha (Peace be upon him), engaged in the worship of Allah for 80 years. And they did not disobey Allah in the slightest.
The Companions of the prophet (may Allah be pleased with them) were surprised at this, so Gabriel (Peace be upon him)attended the service. And recited Surah Al-Qadr.
SIGNS OF LAILATUL QADR
In the night of Qadr, Gabriel descends with the angels. And Gabriel (PBUH) prays for mercy for whomever he sees in remembrance, prayer, and recitation.
The signs of this night are that the night would have is open and bright. Clear and transparent, neither too hot not too cold, rather moderate, as if the Moon is open because of the abundance of light in it.
Among its signs is that the next morning the Sun rises without rays. Like the fourteenth night Moon. Everything Prostrates in Lailatul Qadr. Even trees bow down.
SALAT TASBEEH
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) encouraged a special Salat which is known as Salat Tasbih. Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said.
That Allah forgives all sins to those who recite Salat Tasbeeh. If possible, read this his salat once daily. if this is not possible, read this salat once every Friday. if this is not possible then read it once in every month. If not, then read it once a year, otherwise, read it once in a lifetime.
SALAT TASBEEH METHOD
4 rak’ahs Salat Tasbeeh is Sunnah. 4 rakats can be recited together or 2 rak’ahs separately. It is Sunnah to read it once a week or a month.
The way to do this is to first make the intention of Salatut tasbeeh. And after reciting Surah Al- Fatihah and any other surah in every rak’at before bowing, the third Kalimah سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ Read 15 times.
After reciting سُبْحَنَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِه in Ruku. 10 times. After getting up from ruku and reciting the رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ, read the third Kalimah 10 times. After reciting سُبْحَنَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى وَبِحَمْدِه in Sajdah. Read 10 times. 10 times after the Dua of the Jalsa.
10 times after the tasbih in the second prostration. And others get up from prostration, then sit and recite 10 times before standing. Then stand up without saying Allahu Akbar. The total number will be 75 times. Read in the same way in every rakat. Read 10 times after the second and fourth rakats before Tahiyat. Then read the Altahiyat and return the salam.
WITR PRAYER
Witr prayer is Sunnah mu’akada. Its time is from after Isha prayer till dawn. It has a minimum of one rak’ah and a maximum of 11 rak’ahs. Pray at least 3 rakats of witr prayer. It is Sunnah to recite Surah A’la in the first rak’ah, and Surah Kafiroon in the second rak’ah, and in the last rak’ah, recite three Qul Surah Ikhlas, Surah Falaq and Surah Naas.
And from the sixteenth night of Ramadan to the last night in the moderation of the last rakat of Witr رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ. It is Sunnah to recite Dua qunoot after reading till the end.
DUA QUNOOT
Dua Qunoot translation: O Allah guide me among those You have guided, pardon me among those You have pardoned, befriend me among those You have befriended, bless me in what You have granted, and save me from the evil that You decreed. Indeed You decree, and none can pass decree, and none can pass decree upon You, indeed he is not humiliated whom You have befriended, blessed are You our Lord and Exalted. Then read this dua.
